Ch-ch-changes!
While I don’t have an exact date yet, I want to share that some of my self-published work, available on Amazon and elsewhere, will soon be removed from circulation. This is not a decision I take lightly, but it’s necessary as I transition some of my work into the traditional publishing realm.
You may worry, but rest assured, this is not a disaster. The potential of self-publication is undeniable, but the real excitement lies in traditional publication. It’s where the true potential of my writing can be realized, reaching a wider audience and potentially opening new doors.
I’ll use my novel, Saigon, as an example. It went through a year of negotiation with one of my publishers before they decided not to release it, after which I decided to distribute it on my own. The result has been solid but not spectacular, and I can do better by putting it back on the market as a traditional piece. So be warned: if you want to read this book, buy it soon because the old links will cease functioning.
I suspect this model will develop as the years pass and electronic and paper publications mingle. Authors regularly reclaim the rights to their work and release it in ebook form, and I’m no different. I’ve always felt that some ideas work on a large stage and others work differently. I doubt that will change much as time passes.
Thanks for your patronage.
